This is a digital image of a pencil and wash ; 16 x 26.7 cm., by William Westall, 1781-1850. It depicts King George George Sound in Western Australia and is titled, "King George's [i.e. George] Sound, view from the north-west ". Part of a collection of Westall's drawings. Notes at NLA Reproduced in: Drawings / by William Westall ... London : The Royal Commonwealth Society, 1962, [cat.] 61.

Source The image was found amongst the National Library of Australia's extensive and high quality collection of digital scans. This source was this address, where it is displayed with a black bar, displaying the name of the library and a catalogue number (given in the preceding address). No claim of ownership can be inferred from this detail and it was removed from the image. The great age makes it the property of us all. It is public domain.
