This is a Nakajima Ki-49 heavy bomber aircraft (百式重爆撃機). This photo belonged to the original uploader's grandfather who had been a member of the Imperial Japanese Army Airforce Center. It was photographed by 1945 and uploaded as public domain by old copyright law of Japan.

It is also in the public domain in the United States because its copyright in Japan expired by 1970 and was not restored by the Uruguay Round Agreements Act.
