Grave goods from the cemeteries in front of the southern wall of the fort at Keszthely-Fenékpuszta
Zala County, Hungary
In front of the southern wall of the fortress are several graveyards at which, in all, over 1000 graves from the late 4th to the second half of the 9th century have been excavated. Directly in front of the western part of the south wall is a large cemetery of early Keszthely culture (6th-7th centuries). On both sides of the southern gate directly in front of the wall is Carolingian era cemetery from the second half of the 9th century.
