File:Jones Bay Pyrmont 1919 map.jpg

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Original file(4,010 × 2,496 pixels, file size: 5.5 MB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Summary

Description
Birds eye view showing new wharves & approaches, Jones Bay, Pyrmont / drawn by W.H. Withers, 1919 ; W. E. Adams, Acting Engineer-in-Chief, 1.7.19 ; T.C. Groom, Chief Draughtsman. This view is not particularly accurate. It does show a short section of Pyrmont tunnel over Harris Street, which is correct, but then shows the railway entering a tunnel at Jones Street, about where Mount Street actually is; the tunnel actually ends, not starts, at Jones Street.
