Object history The State Inspectorate of Heritage Protection has listed the painting as a national monument No. 7050. It was moved to the new quarters of the Writers’ Union at 24 Kuršu Street in Riga ; however, after a particularly „tense board meeting“4, the decision was made to sell the painting. On 15 June 2006 it changed hands, becoming property of the entrepreneur Raimonds Gerkens. The painting was added to the collection in 2007.
