Description
A mudhif, a traditional Marsh Arab guesthouse made entirely out of reeds. The Marsh Arab live a lifestyle that dates back 5,000 years. The US Army Corps of Engineers played an important role in advising the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources, (MOWR) as they restored the Mesopotamian Marshes destroyed by Saddam Hussein after Desert Storm.
