Summary

Description

This is Inverness in the North of Scotland (looking North). The city takes it's name from the River Ness which flows from the famous Loch of that name, through the centre of the city and into the Moray Firth, which is crossed by the Kessock Bridge.

It's the Northernmost city in the United Kingdon and has a population of approx 47,000. In 2014 and 2015 a survey described Inverness as the happiest place in Scotland and the second happiest in the UK.

Inverness is the home of Raigmore Hospital - which is the main hospital for the entire North-West of Scotland - an area of 9,906 sq miles (25,657 km2 . The nearest other big hospitals are in Aberdeen, 100 miles away by road.
