Description
English: Sadko. The picturesque style of Art Nouveau on a folklore theme, which had no analogues in Russian art of allegories that appeared on the basis of Western influences. Repin wrote: "Before Sadko there are beautiful girls of all nations and all eras, there will be both Greek women and magnificent Italians Veronese and Titian (an extract of everything that created the art of the wonderful in this part, the beauty of forms, the beauty of costumes) naive little Sadko is beside himself with delight, but firm The idea expresses my current position and maybe the position of all Russian art."
