Playbill: Boston Music Hall, "Grand Jubilee Concert, Thursday afternoon, January 1, 1863, in honor of the day! the proclamation! the emancipation of the slave! the spirit of the fathers and the constitution!" Proceeds from this concert were donated to formerly enslaved people who were freed by the Emancipation Proclamation. It includes a list of well-known people who endorsed the program, including: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Josiah Quincy, Jr., Edward Everett Hale, Francis Parkman, James T. Fields, Samuel G.
