Deutsch: Hissflagge der kreisfreien Stadt Cottbus, Brandenburg
„Cottbus [...] führt traditionell eine rot-weiß-rot gestreifte Flagge, sowohl in Flaggen- als auch in Bannerform. 1985 wurden auf Beschluß der Stadtverordneten die Proportionen der Flagge sowie die Farben des historischen Wappens nochmals eindeutig festgelegt. Flaggen- und Bannerproportionen sind 3:5, die Breite der rot-weiß-roten Streifen verhält sich wie 1:8:1. Flagge und Banner sind in der Mitte mit dem Wappen belegt.“[1] Der Minister des Innern Brandenburg hat diese am 5. Juni 2000 genehmigt.
- Flaggenbeschreibung
- „Die Flagge der Stadt Cottbus ist dreistreifig Rot-Weiß-Rot im Verhältnis 1:8:1 und mit dem Stadtwappen im Mittelstreifen.“[2]
Die Blasonierung dieses am selben Tag genehmigten Stadtwappens lautet:
- „In Silber eine bezinnte, gequaderte rote Burg mit geschlossenem Tor. Zwischen den mit beknauften Spitzdächern versehenen Türmen ragen über der Mauer zwei kleine Häuschen hervor. Darüber schwebt ein silberner Dreieckschild mit einem aufgerichteten roten Krebs.“[3]
