Description
A monument to writer Gustaw Herling-Grudziński unveiled in September 2009 in Yertsevo, where he had been imprisoned for 2 years in a labor camp. Herling-Grudziński is best known for writing a personal account of life in the Soviet Gulag entitled A World Apart, first published in 1951 in London.
