An April 2008 discussion paper from the Centre for European Economic Research by Heinemann et al. analysed each Group's 2007 stance on a hypothetical generalised EU tax. Those figures were:

  • G/EFA: 95% for (3.8 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • PES: 70% for (2.81 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • ITS: 25% for (1 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • EUL-NGL: 10% for (0.4 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • ALDE: 7% for (0.28 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • EPP-ED: 7% for (0.28 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • UEN: 31% against (-1.22 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • IND/DEM: 100% against (-4 on a scale of -4 to 4)
  • NI: 100% against (-4 on a scale of -4 to 4)

Coloration

  • In order to allow the chart to be used on all wikis, the chart has no annotations in English.
  • The colours follow the convention established on English Wikipedia and are coloured to the following schema:
