Notes According to Harris-Warrick (1992, Fig. 5) this image depicts Nicolet's theatre at the Foire Saint-Laurent (ca. 1786). According to Howarth (1997, p. 654) it depicts Nicolet's theatre on the boulevard [du Temple] "presumably pre-1762". The Boulevard du Temple was originally planted with four rows of trees according to Hemmings (1994, pp. 26–27).
