Summary
| Description |
Flag of Guyana with gold fringe. When hoisted with the fringe the flag is used as the Presidential Standard of Guyana. Used in this manner from 1999-2015, and 2020-present.
The colours and construction based on the research documented at https://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/gy.html and confirmed by a locally made flag (which is often fringed and hoisted to denote the arrival of the president) in my possession as well. Given the documented research regarding the colours and construction of the flag, this arrangement would be more accurate than the arbitrary - but now popular - flag of Guyana on Wikimedia/Wikipedia. |
