Cooking in bamboo is common for the Tribal people of Arunachal Pradesh. People here used bamboo for cooking long before the advent of the modern utensils. For cooking first rice is washed properly. Then by rolling the banana leaf folded at the bottom the rice is wrapped inside it after that it is carefully stuffed inside the cut bamboo with an opening and the node at the bottom. Some amount of water is then poured inside the bamboo and with some leafs the opening of the bamboo is closed. After everything done properly it is then placed nearby the fire. It takes some minutes to cook depending on how you take care of the bamboo and the fire
