Use in article (WP:NFCC#7)	Illustrating Tolkien
Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	Show the visual style of Margrethe's work, which Tolkien liked, commenting on its resemblance to his own graphic style. Her work was used to illustrate the 1977 Danish edition of The Lord of the Rings. The presence of the image allows readers to judge for themselves why Tolkien might have liked Margrethe's illustrations, any likeness they may have to Tolkien's artwork, and the suitability of her style for illustrating the novel. Since the image and text in the section support each other, the image is functional not "decorative". Since this is the only image in the article, it is not part of a "gallery".
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	All of Margrethe's work is in copyright.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	The image is used only here; it is the only image in the section on Margrethe (so it is certainly not a part of any gallery). It is the only example of Margrethe's work in the article, or indeed anywhere on Wikipedia.
