Background... (1) Decent-quality version of image uploaded to Wikipedia for "fair use" (after being retrieved from a scanned product catalogue someone put online- *that* was the original source) (2) Some time later it becomes clear that it has been deleted from WP due to insufficient "fair use" explanation (3) I have a look, but I can't find our copy online, and the original source seemed to be gone. Best available is a lower-res cached Yahoo! image search thumbnail from a site that copied WP (and *they* no longer had *their* full-res copy!) Uploaded this poor-quality version as better than nothing. (4) Re-check Yahoo cache years later, turns out the original version available via a site that copied a 2007 version of our article. So we have the original again. :-/ |
