Summary

Description
Baylor Medical Center Station(also Baylor University Medical Center Station), facing west toward downtown Dallas. This station opened

in September, 2009 on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Green Line.

Visible near the center of the photograph is the lowered platform to support roll-on/roll-off wheelchair and bicycle boarding on the modern SLRV trains. All stations are being converted in the "level boarding project" however the new Green Line stations such as this one were originally constructed in this manner.

The SLRV trains have a central car section that is features an entrance door that is lower than the other doors on the train, and each station is being converted as well with lowered boarding sections. SLRV trains stop in specific positions to align the platform and lowered entrance doors allowing mobility impaired persons and bicyclists to easily enter the train without having to navigate stairs.
