Object history
Deutsch: Das von Otto Rössler von Wildenhain entworfene Wappen wurde vom niedersächsischen Ministerium des Inneren am 13. Januar 1950 genehmigt. Sattenhausen wurde 1451 von den Landgrafen von Hessen erworben. Die linke Hälfte des Wappens zeigt darum den hessischen Löwen. Die Farben Rot und Gold stehen für die frühere Zugehörigkeit zum Herzogtum Braunschweig-Lüneburg.
