Deutsch: Die Grafen von Manderscheid, deren heraldische Farben Rot und Silber sind, übten in der Region um Neuendorf die Vogtsrechte aus und verwalteten so den Besitz der Fürstabtei Prüm. Das Stammwappen der Grafen von Manderscheid zeigt einen roten Zickzackbalken auf goldenem Hintergrund. Der hl. Hubertus, dessen Attribut unter anderem ein Kreuz zwischen Geweihstangen ist, ist der Hauptpatron der Kirche von Neuenstein.
