Deutsch: Der Stadt Euskirchen ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 6.07.1970 die Genehmigung zur Führung eines Wappens, eines Siegels, und einer Flagge erteilt worden. „Das Stadtwappen zeigt auf rotem Grund ein goldenes Stadttor mit offenem Fallgatter, das mit zwei Zinnentürmchen als Zeichen der Stadtbefestigung besetzt ist. Zu beiden Seiten des Tores befinden sich zusätzlich zwei Wappen. Auf dem rechten, weißen (silbernen) Wappenschild ist ein zweigeschwänzter, linksgewandter, goldgekrönter, roter Löwe abgebildet. Das linke, goldene Wappenschild zeigt ein rechtsgewandten, schwarzen Löwen.“ Das Wappen entstammt einem Schöffelsiegel aus dem 14. Jahrhundert. Es zeigt ein Stadttor sowie zwei kleinere Schilde; den roten Limburger Löwen, dem das erste Geschlecht der Herren von Monschau entstammte, als völlig gleich dasjenige der Edelherren von Heinsberg-Falkenburg, aus dem das zweite Geschlecht hervorging und den schwarzen Löwen der Landesherren, der Grafen und späteren Herzöge von Jülich (Jülicher Löwe).
English: „The arms were granted in 1954 and confirmed on July 6, 1970. Euskirchen received city rights in 1304 from the Counts of Monschau-Falkenburg-Limburg. The oldest seal dates from the same time and shows a gate with two towers and two small shields, each with the two-tailed lion of Limburg. The second known seal dates from the 18th century and shows the same composition. The left lion, however is now changed into the black lion of Jülich, as the Dukes of Jülich acquired the city in 1368. The arms are thus identical to the latter seal. The additions in 1969 did not have an effect on the arms.“
