Deutsch: Die vielfältige Geschichte der Gemeindebezirke spiegelt sich im Wappen der neuen Gemeinde wider: Der gestümmelte Adler in Rot erinnert an die Zugehörigkeit von Bubach, Calmesweiler, Eppelborn, Habach, Humes, Macherbach und Wiesbach zu Lothringen. Der silberne Doppelhaken in Blau, die "Wolfsangel", weist auf die Verbindung von Dirmingen und Hierscheid mit Nassau-Saarbrücken hin. Der silberne Schrägrechtsbalken gehörte zum Wappen eines ritterlichen Adelsgeschlechts, das Eppelborn im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert zu Lehen hatte. Die Farben Rot-Silber erinnern an die Herrschaft Kurtriers über Calmesweiler, und sie würdigen auch die geistige kulturelle Ausstrahlung der Trierischen Kirche in die weite Kirchenprovinz, zu der Eppelborn seit dem frühen Mittelalter gehörte.
