Summary

Description
Unknown shallowing upward sequence in the liassic lagoon of the musandam peninsula (oman). inter to supratidal, algal, deposits on top (yellow). such cycles (auto and allocyclic) are well known around the mesozoic tethys, from morocco to arabia. these beds are arranged in deca to hectometric sequences, separated by important discontinuities. tentatives of correlations of major discontinuities were unsucessfull, after biostratigraphic control (brgm pers. comm., 1992); see also septfontaine & de matos (1998) for stratigraphical setting.Unknown shallowing upward sequence in the liassic lagoon of the musandam peninsula (oman). inter to supratidal, algal, deposits on top (yellow). such cycles (auto and allocyclic) are well known around the mesozoic tethys, from morocco to arabia. these beds are arranged in deca to hectometric sequences, separated by important discontinuities. tentatives of correlations of major discontinuities were unsucessfull, after biostratigraphic control (brgm pers. comm., 1992); see also septfontaine & de matos (1998) for stratigraphical setting.
