Description
2019 PPF Playwrights Panel at South Coast Rep in Costa Mesa on Sunday 28 April 2019

South Coast Repertory presents the 2019 Pacific Playwrights Festival Playwrights Panel: Playwrights and Institutional Change livestreaming on the global, commons-based peer-produced HowlRound TV network at howlround.tv on Sunday 28 April at 9 a.m. PDT (San Francisco) /11 a.m. CDT (Chicago) /12 p.m. EDT (New York) / 16:00 GMT / 5 p.m. BST (London).

Playwright Aditi Brennan Kapil will lead a broad conversation with the 2019 festival playwrights about their plays. They’ll also touch on a topic impacting many theatres today: Across the country, theatres of all sizes are experiencing leadership change. The panel will discuss what that means for playwrights. As writers, what impact do they hope this sea change has on the field, and on their future work?

The 2019 festival playwrights include Kevin Artigue, Adam Bock, Sean Hartley, Chisa Hutchinson, Craig Lucas, Dan Messé, Qui Nguyen, Ana Nogueira and Melissa Ross.

Livestream and video production by Joel Veenstra.
