Station 25 moved from its previous location at 4925 Sawyer Road to this location on W. 3rd Ave. in 1995. This building was previous used as the Medical Training Center. The fire station was named in honor of Gowdy in 2002. Gowdy played professional baseball, and also served during both World Wars. The land on which the fire station sits was once a city baseball field named for Gowdy.
