Besluit van den 24 Augustus 1815, nr. 71, waarbij het Rijkswapen wordt vastge-steld.

Artikel 2. De Prinsen van Oranje, Kroonprinsen der Nederlanden, zullen het Rijkswapen voeren, gevieren­deeld met de wapenen van het Prinsdom van Oranje, zodanig als Wij die tot dus verre gevoerd hebben; terwijl de oudste Zoon van den Prins van Oranje hetzelfde wapen als zijn vader zal voeren, doch gebroken met een barensteel van keel met drie stukken of pendants.

Artikel 7. Alle Onze wettige Descendenten, zoo vrouwelijke als mannelijke, zullen, tot dekking hunner wapenschilden de Koninklijke Kroon en tot schildhouders of tenants twee gekroonde Leeuwen voeren.

Artikel 8. Wij behouden voor Ons en Onze mannelijke Descendenten het devies Je Maintiendrai en het aloude Nassausche helmteken of Cimier, zijnde twee uit eenen gouden kroon zich verheffende Olifantstrompen van Azur, met gouden blokken bezaaid, tussen welke de ongekroonde gouden leeuw zit.
