“ Sir Thomas Stanley, Lord Stanley, K.G. 1457-1458…the arms, quarterly: 1 and 4, gold on a chief indented azure three silver plates (for Lathom), quartering silver on a bend azure three stags' heads gold (for Stanley); 2 and 3, gules three legs armed and flexed in triangle (for the Kingdom of Man)... ”
Lord Stanley's stall plate remains intact within the twenty-fifth stall, on the Sovereign's side of the chapel.
