Representing the McCain Family, Cindy McCain relates stories of her husband, John McCain (whose health did not permit him to attend), and Representative Morris Udall, and their work to help preserve and protect Grand Canyon, and provide the public the opportunities to experience it.
This took place a special reception honoring the example of collaboration and bi-partisan friendship set by the late Representative Morris K. Udall and Senator John S. McCain, several new initiatives were announced that will enhance visitors' understanding of the Grand Canyon landscape and emphasize the importance of cooperative efforts in conservation: The celebration included the unveiling of a rendering of a tribute plaque that will be installed at Grand Canyon National Park to honor Representative Udall's and Senator McCain's legacies, shared love of the park, and their efforts to advance the conservation purposes for which it was established. |
