DescriptionChurches -- First Presbyterian Church, Synagogue and Wesley Memorial Church, Savannah Ga.jpg
Color postcard with title and message at bottom where there is a blank area. Back is undivided, with no caption, postally unused. Designed by John Norris, the First Presbyterian Church on Monterey Square building was dedicated in June 1872. The church relocated in 1956. Congregation Mickve Israel, completed in 1878, is the only Gothic style Synagogue in America and is located on Monterey Square. Wesley Monumental Church is a Gothic-revival style church memorializing the founders of Methodism. It dates from 1868 and is particularly noted for its magnificent stained-glass windows.
The publisher of this card, the American Post Card Company, worked out of New York between 1903 and 1910. Their primary products were cards of northeastern American scenes in black and white and monochrome collotypes, some with hand coloring. They also published many holiday postcards.
