Summary

Description
Built in 1890, this Shingle-style house was designed by Edward S. Stebbins and built by Frank Griggs McMillan for Charles Brayton Lyon. The house saw the addition of a sun porch in the front in 1909, and a rear addition in 1987, which has since been removed. The house features a tower on the south side of the front facade, a third floor clad in shingles with large window openings on the front facade, a cornice with dentils, a porch with a gothic railing, and side gables with shingle cladding and arched windows. The house was listed as a Minneapolis Local Historic Landmark in 2012, and has been adaptively reused as an office building.
