Locality: Mashamba West Mine, Kolwezi, Western area, Katanga Copper Crescent, Katanga (Shaba), Democratic Republic of Congo (Zaïre) (Locality at mindat.org)
Size: 8 x 3.5 x 3 cm.
A very good specimen of rarely crystallized Carnotite from the Mashamba West mine. These where found in the middle 80’s and are considered as the best in the world for crystals of the species. This piece is literally filled with hundreds of sharp crystals sometimes reaching 1.5mm.
