Summary

Description
Carmel transmitter masts The main transmitter mast near Carmel village has provided UHF television and FM radio services to South West Wales since the mid 1970s. More recent mobile and digital television services have been added to the mast as well as other communication equipment. The smaller 60m lattice mast seen in this picture was erected the weekend before this picture was taken and is apparently to aid digital switchover for the Llanelli area, which is puzzling as Carmel already provides a full Freeview service.
