Author Original photograph is by Hughes and Mullins which operated from 1883-1910 from 60 Union Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight. Jabez Hughes died on 11 August 1884, but Gustav Mullins contined the business in the same names until 1910, when he moved to 64 Union street, trading under his own sole name. HUGHES & MULLINS were granted a Royal Warrant on 15 January 1885 when they were named "Photographers to Her Majesty". Mullins was born 1851 in Jersey, CI and died on 27 December 1921.[1]
