This is an image of a plaque regarding a B-17 that crashed on Cape Lookout, Oregon, during World War II. I took the image myself.

The plaque reads:

On August 1, 1943 a four motored Army Air Force plane crashed 500 ft. west of here. This marker erected by the Oregon State Highway Commission in Commemoration of the members of this flight crew that perished in the line of duty.
