Summary

Description Original caption: ""
US 51 southbound, heading under a set of multiple structures on the north end of Cairo, Illinois. The northernmost, an iron railroad bridge built by the American Bridge Company, is red with "CAIRO" in white. The second path, also iron, is higher than the first. The third path is a concrete railroad overpass built in the 1900s. Just south beyond the three structures, another railroad crosses the highway at-grade.
