Nederlands: Dit instrument is niet echt een harp, omdat bij harpen de snaren in schuine richting van de klankkast naar de hals van het instrument lopen. Hier lopen de 5 snaren recht, vanaf een rechtopstaande kam, waardoor het meer een luit zou zijn. Vandaar de term 'harp-luit'. (Zie ook de 'kora', 5540-1.) Qua vorm komt het echter het dichtst bij een boogharp.
