For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Zentralbild-Salzbrenner We-Th 27.3.1956 Von der Idee bis zum fertigen Modell. Es ist eine unbestreitbare Tatsache, daß der Frühling den Winter mit seinen Schnee- und Eismassen nun endgültig verdrängt hat. Genau so unbestreitbar ist es jedoch, daß mit der zunehmenden Erwärmung die "Kleidersorgen" unserer Frauen in den Vordergrund treten. Wer von ihnen möchte nicht, wenn der Wintermantel nun für einige Monate "eingemottet" wird, ein neues duftiges Kleid, nach dem neusten Schnitt der Mode sein eigen zu nennen? Diese "Sorgen" hätten auch die Modeschöpfer unserer volkseigenen Bekleidungsindustrie, allerdings schon reichlich früher als die "Konsumenten". Zu einer Zeit, da Schneestürme über das Land brausten und jeder froh war, sich in den warmen Wintermantel hüllen zu können, besprachen die Kolleginnen des VEB Kleiderwerk Dresden die neuen Sommermodelle und gingen an die Arbeit. UBz: (links) ein geschmackvolles Sommerkleid aus gesteiftem Zellwollgewebe. Die Taille ist etwas verlängert-der Rock leicht angekraust. Zur Unterbrechung des Streifenmusters sind Schrägblenden an Kragen und Rock drapiert. (rechts) Sommerkleid mit abgespalteter Taillenlinie und angekraust eingesetztem Rock.
