English: Official photo finish used for timekeeping of the final of the women's 400 metres hurdles at the 1987 East German athletics championships in Potsdam. Sabine Busch from Erfurt 1st; Cornelia Ullrich from Magdeburg 2nd. The time of 53.24 seconds is erroneously reported as being a world record; in fact, it was second in the all-time list at the time: Marina Stepanova had run 52.94 in 1986. |
