PLEASE, no multi invitations, glitters or self promotion in your comments, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE for anyone to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks - NONE OF MY PICTURES ARE HDR. Every inch of the interior is covered with frescoes depicting the life of the holy family. Scenes are from the old and new testaments: the life of Christ, the virtues of the Virgin Mary, there is even a frieze of Greek philosophers and several inscriptions of the benefactors and sponsors. The Nativity Church is the oldest church in Arbanassi. Originally built during the 15th century this simple low level building belies the wealth of art to be found inside. Nearly every inch of the vaulted interior is covered in paintings and frescoes dating back to the 17th century. |
