![James P. Braniecki Insurance Agency, 5707 Main Street, Williamsville, New York, August 2020. One of Williamsville's many examples of mid-19th century, Greek Revival-style former residences converted to offices or other commercial uses, 5707 Main was one of the first to be built of brick, which was just beginning to come into wide availability at the time the building was built (c. 1852). Originally it was the home of Esther Carpenter Hershey (1802-1887), the widow of Benjamin Hershey, owner of the Dodge Mill that stood at the northwest corner of Main and Mill Streets until it was lost to fire in 1894. After its conversion to offices, it served consecutively as home of the John E. Hayes Advertising Company, Dunlop & Bajak Insurance, and, since 2015, the James P. Braniecki Insurance Agency.
