Summary

Description
Bantam pilot car #01 prototype in front – sided by a 1940, 1/2-ton G-505 jeep: a much larger Dodge VC-1 Command Car and a larger truck – for considerable size differences line-up.
In 1940 the U.S. Army received their first light four-wheel drive trucks, various half-ton Dodge VC models, which the soldiers called 'jeeps'. Dodge delivered 4,640 of the G-505 1/2-ton 4x4s before the first ever 1/4-ton: a single Bantam #01 'Blitz Buggy' was delivered to Camp Holabird in fall 1940.
