This is a French 'beginning of motorway section' symbol C207. Author Madcap. The image was made using proportions and colour schema published by French government agency: 'Direction de la Sécurité et de la Circulation Routières' in 2002. This image is a traffic sign and is public domain since it's part of the French legislation.
