2008-07-14 Baku, Azerbaijan: Armenian church. It is currently closed. There used to be many Armenians in Baku and in other parts of Azerbaijan, but most of them fled as a consequence of the persecutions in the time leading up to and during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. There are still som Armenians left, but most of them are in inter-married families. In Armenia the situation is much the same, just opposite. |
