Summary
| Description |
The rapid growth of Gangnam development in Seoul began in earnest in the mid-1970s. Near the Galleria Department Store, the photographer witnessed a farmer plowing a field with a cow in the background of an apartment building. A farmer plowing the field in a traditional way by modern high-rise apartment buildings was a symbolic image of Apgujeong-dong. The farmer, a native of Apgujeong-dong, had sold a large piece of land at a high price and said that this year was his last farming. |
