Map of the Abbasid province of Adharbayjan, together with dependencies and surrounding regions, in the mid to late ninth century AD. The principal sources of this map are al-Tabari, volume 33; Ibn Khurradadhbih, pp. 30, 38, 67-68, 91-95 (French translation); Le Strange, Maps III and V; Minorsky, pp. 189-90.
