Object history
Deutsch: Tor und Türme sind das Charakteristikum der mittelalterlichen wehrhaften Stadt. Die Erweiterung der vorerst auf den Berg beschränkten Siedlung zur Donau herab wurde durch die Aufnahme des Wassers im Schildfuß hervorgehoben. Die Eingliederung des österreichischen (rot-weiß-roten) Bindenschildchens ist der heraldische Hinweis auf die landesfürstliche Stadtherrschaft.
