2 of the 8 Silver Gray Trophies presented by Major Matthew Gray and his family to the members of Seaton Carew Golf Club in England. The First Gray Trophy was one of the earliest presented to amateur club golfers in England. The first competition for the cup was held in November 1890. The first 7 of these trophies were "given" to the player who won 3 Gray competitions. A practice which ended in 1907. The 7th trophy, the shorter one in this picture, was donated back to the Club by the widow of its 1906 winner Mr Peverell around 1953.
