- Information in Chinese: 2月28日上午，民眾以軍警開槍造成死傷案件未決，沿街打鑼通告罷市，全市騷動，風聲鶴唳。時有一批民眾，至太平町一丁目派出所，搗毀所內玻璃洩恨，接著又轉往專賣局台北分局，各處民眾聞之亦洶湧而至，衝進局裡，毆斃該局職員兩名，傷四名，把局裡存貨火柴、香菸、酒及汽車一輛，腳踏車七、八輛，一件一件由裡面拋出路中放火焚燬，一時火光沖天。
