Description

Rally Red. The HG Holden was built from July 1970-July 1971. The 2nd and final facelift on the HK-T-G shape. The new Australian made Trimatic was introduced on the HG. Most models got a new look plastic grille, the Premier and Broughams grille tho was the same as the HT. Like the HT, the HG sedan was available in four models; the base Belmont, then Kingswood, the luxury Premier and the longer body Brougham. Also available was a wagon, utility and panel van. And the Monaro 2 door coupe; available in base, sporty GTS and GTS 350. The GTS got full instrumentation, vents in the guards and racing stripes.The HG Monaro was a great touring car but didn't compete on the track like the previous Monaros, Toranas were used instead. The GTS350 is still a very collectible car today Engines; red 6 cyl; 145hp 186S
