"Clarence Brigham attributes this maritime print to James Callendar. The text and this plate were taken from Benjamin Franklin, Experiments and observations on electricity, London, 1774, p. 224-241. The plate is on p. 232. Published first by Isaiah Thomas and then Joseph Greenleaf in Boston, this magazine was produced from January 1774 until April 1775 when the war put an end to publication."
